Embracing My New Body!

I'm officially wearing a size 12 pant or skirt. Down from a size 16 since May. Having been plus size most of my adult life, I'm still adjusting to my new body. Learning what I can wear at 53 years old is very confusing. I've had to part with bags of clothes that I will never wear again.

But just like my T-shirt message says, "Embrace Your Body Now. Love Yourself Always"! That I can definitely do.

Looking for Some Thanksgiving Inspiration? Check out My Pinterest Board

Gratitude Banner For Thanksgiving

I discovered this DIY Gratitude Banner printable on Pinterest today. Somewhat Simple, creator, gives you the several design and color options. Now that's wicked cool.

You can create your very own Gratitude Banner by heading to her website, print out the desired designs, cut them out, assembly with string and glue. Finally, hang in your room of choice!

Here's a mini Gratitude Banner that I hung on the balcony. I plan on keeping a few near for visitors to fill out.

This one is in our hallway bathroom. I used a bright orange floss. (have lots of colorful floss)

Another easy breezy DIY project!

Mitch Albom, #TheFivePeopleYouMeetInHeaven , Responds to My Question on HuffPost Live.

Author, Mitch Albom, appeared on HuffPost Live to speak about his many books and other interests. As usual, I made sure to leave several comments and questions hoping Caroline would share one.

I've added his latest book, “The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto,” to my Amazon wish list. Looking forward to reading it!

Chronic Pain Sufferer: It's A Good Day!

Woke up today with terrible neck pain. Darn those compressed cervical discs. Despite that, it's still a good day. Yes, it's good to be alive.

#WhatsForDinner Slow Cooker Pork Carnitas Tacos

What is it about autumn chilly nights that has so many of us putting our crock pots to work?

Could it be the hours of wonderful aromas that permeate our homes? Or the yummy results at the end of cooking time?

Whatever the reason, I love pulling out our slow cooker and making a meal that our family will enjoy during the chilly months!

I Still Skip For My Baby!

Menu Plan Monday ~ November 9, 2015

Happy Menu Plan Monday everyone! This menu plan linky party is hosted by Organizing Junkie.

This weekend I decided to give some Thanksgiving touches to our home office. I love how it turned out. And as usual, I stopped by Pinterest for some free printables!

I found these 2 bible verses autumn printables on Pinterest. Just download, print and hang.

Does this fall mini banner look familiar? I have one hanging over our mirror in the living area. Looks great hanging on the ribbon. It's available on Pinterest.

The Thanksgiving accents came from my scrapbook supplies. My inspiration comes from a very hot trend, decorating your planner.

Pin available at Happy Wives Club

October 12, 2008, my husband and I renewed our wedding vows in a lovely ceremony. I'm so glad we were able to do this. We didn't have photos from when we were married but that wasn't the most important thing. We announced to the world and God that we would marry each other again.

Faith of Our Fathers DVD Review

I received a copy of Faith of Our Fathers DVD to review. My opinions are my own.

Faith of Our Fathers Website Synopsis:

With the Vietnam War raging in 1969, two young fathers report for duty. A man of great faith and a doubtful cynic. A quarter-century later, their sons, Wayne and John Paul, meet as strangers. Guided by handwritten letters from their fathers from the battlefield, they embark on an unforgettable journey to The Wall—the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Along the way, they discover the devastation of war cannot break the love of a father for his son. FAITH OF OUR FATHERS: a story of fatherhood; a journey of brotherhood.

Starring Stephen Baldwin, Kevin Downes, David A.R. White, Rebecca St. James, with Si Robertson and Candace Cameron Bure.

First I want to say that I really wanted to like this movie. The subject matter, the cast and story line caught my attention so I volunteered to watch and review Faith of Our Fathers. Sadly, I was disappointed.

Don't let my opinion deter you. With Veterans Day next week, this would be a movie the whole family can watch.
