I Hope You Have A Wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Hubby and I will be relaxing, watching movies, taking walks and hitting the pool this weekend. I wish that you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend too.

'Coffee and You' Printable

Have I mentioned how much I just love Pinterest today? Not only is it a wonderful inspiration for DIY projects but one can find some terrific printables!

This one is from HomeCookMemory! Thank you so much Brandie for offering this cute printable.

#DIY Glass Frame Tray

We've been talking about buying glass that would fit the top of the bench for years! But, if you follow my blog, seen many of my decorating posts, I like to reuse, repurpose and craft my way to a solution. Especially when it's 'easy breezy'.

This old frame had been sitting in one of the closets for a couple of years. I just removed the matte, cleaned the glass and done!

When my husband saw it this morning, he replied, "I like it"! I do too!

#LasVegas "Did You Feel That"?

Yes, Las Vegas felt an 5.3 magnitude earthquake today. Some residents have been reporting property damage, including damage to the "Spaghetti Bowl" ramp, U.S. Route 95 to southbound of Interstate 15.

I was watching HuffPost Live, at the time, typing a comment when I felt the building start to shake, my chair began to move and the furniture, especially the TV began to sway!

As a former San Diego resident, I have experience many earthquakes so I knew what was happening. It's just a shock since Las Vegas isn't known for earthquakes.

Everything is okay, at my house. Just a reminder to have our emergency preparedness kits ready!

Thursday Thoughts ~ May 21, 2015

So, let me get this straight. One wears flats and they're turned away from the Cannes events? Wow! Who knew.

May 21st is #RedNoseDay! Purchase a red nose at Walgreens and funds go towards charity! I love this idea!

I make sure to wash and dry thrift shop clothes items but now I better be washing all new purchases from now on! Yikes!

These days, there are more options for brides, when it comes to wedding gowns. One can rent or purchased used. I definitely think it's a great idea. One can now afford a high end dress from Rent The Runway for an affordable price! Happy shopping!

Red Nose Day is a campaign dedicated to raising money for children and young people living in poverty by simply having fun and making people laugh. The inaugural Red Nose Day will be held in the US on May 21st, 2015. People across the country will come together to have fun and raise funds and awareness. The day’s events will culminate in a three-hour entertainment TV special on NBC featuring the country’s favorite comedians, musicians and Hollywood stars—it’s a show not to be missed!

So let's head to our local Walgreens, purchase our Red Nose for just a $1 and join the #RedNoseClub!

#DIY Craft Project: @ Symbol

I've been admiring the many Etsy painted symbols that are on sale but didn't want to pay $20+. So when my husband and I were at our favorite Target store, picking up prescriptions, I decided to a stroll through their craft aisle.

What a pleasant surprise when I saw unpainted wooden letters, numbers and symbols for sale.

The @ was only $4.99 and Robin Egg paint was $1.99. I had a cream white wide ribbon at home that would round out this project!
I love how it turned out. And who knows, I might purchase additional letters for other decorating projects.
