HuffPost Live: Thursday Thoughts ~ New Year Eve! 2015

I did enjoy seeing more diversity in the fashion and beauty industry in 2015. Especially on the major magazine covers.

I hope to see more diversity of age, size, gender and color in 2016.

Hubby and I are looking forward to The X-Files and Gilmore Girls reboots in 2016.

And before I forget, the last season of Downton Abbey. Sundays just won't be the same.

Hubby and I attempted to watch "Marco Polo", on Netflix. We only got through a few episodes and determined it just wasn't worth it.

When we heard that Target pharmacy was going to be taken over by CVS we thought about transferring our medications. Just too many bad experiences with CVS pharmacy to mention.

I'm glad we stuck it out. The service is still there and I love to 'browse' the aisles at Target!

Happy New Year everyone!

Follow Rona Berry-Morin's board New Year's Eve on Pinterest.

We had a wonderful Christmas week! I sure hope that you did as well.

We like to celebrate the entire week. One of our holiday dinners was Whole Foods take out. It's one of the few places I can eat a deli sandwich without a reaction. We purchased pizzas, custom deli sandwiches, fruit tarts and eclairs.

Make-Your-Own Sandwiches night was on Christmas Eve. Thank you Vons grocery delivery for making that meal possible.

Korean BBQ on Christmas was fun and delicious. It was our first time dining at a Korean BBQ restaurant. And It sure won't be our last. I love cooking our food on the table top grill!

The Nested Nomad: The 5 Secrets of People Whose Homes are Always Clean

Many times, after sharing photos on my social media platforms, I am asked, "Do you really keep your home that clean all the time"?

The answer is Yes! But I always want to give an disclaiming so here it goes.

First, due to my numerous chronic pain conditions, I am unable to sit, lie, stand, etc for very long. This forces me to get up and walk around freqently. As I do that, I'll tidy up along the way.

Cleaning is also a good distraction to my 24 hour pain. I'll put on some music, make my way around the house with my cleaning supplies.

It takes me much longer to do a task. Remember when I mentioned my chronic pain conditions? Well I also have physical restrictions so I have to numerous breaks just to fold the laundry. But I will put it back into the basket if I can't finish it.

It's just the 2 of us now. My husband and I have been emptynesters for almost a year. Having just 2 people to clean up after is much easier than 3. Especially when the 3rd was described a…

What a Wonderful Christmas Gift!

Hubby and I received an amazing Christmas gift recently. His family photos. Looking at the photos brought tears to my eyes.

Here's his parents' wedding photo. Don't they look amazing?! They remind me of the traditional bride and groom on a wedding cake.

Sunday Community: December 20, 2015

As 2015 comes to an end, I am reminded of the decades my husband and I have known and loved each other. Yes, there have been plenty of bad and good times. (smiles and sadness) But we still held onto each other. As they say, "In thick and thin".

In 2016, we're looking forward to wonderful events like our granddaughter's arrival, our 54th birthdays and our 20th wedding anniversary. There will be unpleasant surprises too. But as long as our faith is strong and we hold onto each other we'll get through it!

Are You a Planner Addict Like Me?

I love keeping a daily planner but always looking for ways to save money doing it!

Target, Etsy, Amazon and sales at craft stores allow me to stay within budget. Plus it's fun to check out what's on sale and stock up!

Sometimes I wait to decorate my daily page till the morning. I like them have an individual look.

I purchased these holiday ribbons not knowing I would use them in my planner. They were $1 from Target Value Section.

I even took a binder and decorated it. No cost to me. I used scrapbook supplies for the cover.

"Look At These Maine Stickers"!

Discovered these Maine state stickers at our local craft store. Not only were they 50% but they are adorable. I just had to buy them!

#WhatsForDinner Turkey Meatball Soup

Here's a way to put your leftovers to good use. My husband took some carrots, green beans and green onions, chopped them, and added them to beef broth.

Turned the heat up to boil. Added some meatballs and ramen noodles, brought back to boil for 10 minutes.

While I cannot enjoy a bowl, it smells amazing!

Stay Warm My Friends!

It's been very chilly in Las Vegas. I'm talking mid-40s and low 50s cold. Now that may not compare to a New England cold but for someone who longer is used to those temps..."It's cold baby"!

But that doesn't stop me from taking my daily walk. If anything, the cold makes me walk faster! See, I knew I could come up with a positive.

Our Home Is Decorated For Christmas!

This Christmas I decided to go full blown with the decorations. Thrift shop, Target, Etsy, DIY and touches of nature keep this year's decorating way below budget! I didn't even break $100!

Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays! Thank you for stopping by.

Let's take a tour of my home!

This is our kitchen bar counter. The inspiration came from my Maine roots. The tree garland was a DIY project courtesy of our Brothers Printer Create Shop!

I have fresh flowers, in the coffee can. Pine cones that I collect during my walks add that natural look. I save Christmas cards every year so why not included them in your Christmas decorating?

The master bedroom beautiful neutral palette was the inspiration for these Christmas decorations. The banner over the bed was a previous purchase from Target. The snowflake pillow was purchased from Target for only $3!

The ornaments in front of the window are from the thrift store. I just used some bakers twine to hang them.

I always like to use Christmas car…

Menu Plan Monday ~ November 30, 2015

This is the master bedroom. I utilized thrift shop items, recycled and heirlooms. It was also fun to reuse ornaments, as wall decor and window decoration. The Joy sign was only $3 from Target!

I've been busy decorating for Christmas. Every time I think I'm finish, I get inspired to tackle another project! The cool thing is I haven't spent much money.

Pinterest is a fantastic source for free downloads and DIY projects. For example, I've reused greeting cards and tags to create banners. Even our tree has been decorated with favorite Christmas cards.

Oh, and don't pass up your thrift stores. I purchased dinnerware, ornaments and decorations for $25!

Chronic Pain: "I'm So Sorry But I Just Can't Eat...."

"I'm a #chronicpain sufferer"! #ChronicLife#ChronicIllnesspic.twitter.com/A6uuS8C3nb— Rona BerryMorin (@berrymorin) November 15, 2015

Please be kind to those of us that suffer from digestive chronic conditions this holiday season. When we say, "No thank you". in response to being offered a dish or taste don't be offended.

My dietary restrictions are no dairy, fatty, acid, rich, fried, processed, spicy, and chocolate foods. Even many of the approved foods can cause me to have painful reactions.

So when we show up with our own meal, don't be insulted. And thank you so much for extending an invite.

Sunday Community: I Love Holding Onto You!

Happy Wives Club
"I truly love us. Me too". That was part of our Saturday night conversation while cuddling under blankets. We just never tire of holding onto each other.

It just feels so good.

It's official, after 21 years of living together, we're hooked!

#ChronicLife: Sometimes I Need A Bit Of An Incentive!

Today, I'm fighting a horrible bout of nausea. Just part of living the #ChronicLife of Rona.

Things changed once I started listening to my Pandora radio stations, I got a smile on my face, started dancing around the house. It was just the kick in the butt I needed!

Yes, music can lift one's soul.
