Friday Dinner: Crockpot Spicy Chicken

I can't say enough good things about Pinterest when it comes to recipes! It has helped this home cook so much! I'm able to keep our meals interesting and delicious!

Tonight, I wasn't feeling well, so I decided to cook a whole chicken, in a crockpot! Here's the recipe I decided to try, courtesy of Kate O Lynch.

I decided to add some fresh garlic too. I love eating it afterwards! I added the foil, after seeing another crockpot chicken recipe.

The recipe calls for thyme, which I have plenty in my herb garden. I love the smell of it as I chopped it!

The smells of garlic, thyme and other spices actually lifted my spirits a bit. another benefit of cooking!

As you can see, she's well seasoned and ready to cook for 4 hours on High! Can't wait till the chicken is done!

Spring Has Sprung!

First of all, if you can tell me the name of this plant I would be very thankful. Second, doesn't she look amazing?

I just love the bright colors, scents of 'Beatrice'. Yes, we name our plants!

Seeing Beatrice, always lifts my spirits!

Thursday Thoughts ~ April 10, 2014

Come join me at Ramblings Of A Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts.

So, in case you haven't heard, Stephen Colbert has been announced as David Letterman's replacement. I had no idea that he wasn't even in the running. He definitely wasn't even on my list. I was thinking Wayne Brady. Oh well. Whatever!

Congrats on the job Stephen!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the students, teachers, and families at the Westmoreland County high school in Murrysville, Pennsylvania. Authorities report more than 20 people have been injured by a fellow student.

Have you heard of these gourmet food delivery services? Would you ever consider using one? Honestly, there isn't anything that I desire that much to have delivered. But it's nice to know if I should.

See How Our Herb Garden Grows! April 2014

This year, my husband and I wanted to start a herb garden. We figured it would be much easier for me to use if it was on a shelf. And with the hot summer temps just around the corner let's have it inside the house.

This time, I decided to do some research and ask The Prudent Homemaker for advice, as well! Thank you Prudent Homemaker!

Hubby and I went to our local Home Depot for the shelving, plants, containers, fertilizer and organic soil, a few weeks ago. As you can see, our herb garden is thriving!

I love having fresh oregano, cilantro, parsley, lemon thyme available at my finger tips!

Also, we repotted our long time African Jasmine, Dave, last week. Looks to me, Dave is loving his new soil! Check out his new buds!

Welcome To BerryMorins Bits & Tips! #UBP14

Welcome to BerryMorins Bits & Tips! I hope you're having fun visiting lots of blogs during this year's Ultimate Blog Party! I sure am!

This is me, a few minutes before appearing on a recent HuffPostLive segment. I've been a fan and frequent commenter, since 2011.

I've been participating in the Ultimate Blog Party since 2007. There are many bloggers that I continue to follow that I was first introduced through UBP 2007! So I make a point to participate every year!

I've been blogging since 2005, it started as a way to sharing some of my daily interests and life after suffering from a work accident. The topics have changed over the years, (ex: grown up, moved, changed jobs, stopped working) but my love for God has stayed strong!

Hanging out with our son, Marcus, getting ready for our guest appearance on The Professed Word. It was great fun!

Hubby, Charles and I getting ready for a walk, last winter. Yes, it does get cold in Vegas!

We've known each other since m…
