Top 20 Stay-At-Home Date Night Ideas ~ Happy Wives Club

Since Happy Wives Club posted this yesterday, I just can't stop thinking about what a great list of date night ideas!

How about playing a round of 'The Newlywed Game' with your spouse or partner tonight? (I really love this one) And for more added fun, if you have kids, have them make up the questions.

Another date night idea that deserves consideration is 'DIY Photoshoot'. If you're like my husband and I there aren't many photos of just the 2 of you. Set aside a day where you'll take lots of photos. ex: cooking together, sitting on the couch, taking a walk, riding bikes

Bra Fitting Tips For Curvy Ladies ~ HuffPostLive

As I state in my profile, " I love a great sexy bra". But if there was more room I would have said, "I love a great supportive fitting, comfortable and sexy bra"!

Did you know that the right bra can make you look taller, slimmer and better in your clothes? Per Kim Caldwell, The Bra Lady, it's important to have a bra fitting, at your local department store. Also, that for those of us, who are busty, our bras last 6-9 months!

So curvy ladies, let's really consider our bras an investment, have those bra fittings and get shopping!

Welcome To The Dollar Shave Club Mr Morin

After hearing about The Dollar Shave Club on a YouTube video, I thought I would place an order for my hubby. I decided to treat him to the *4x razor, which comes with 4 replacement blades and a tube of Dr. Carver's Shave Butter!*Also known as The Lover's Blade because your spouse, girlfriend or partner can use it too. (Shhh...don't tell my husband)

Oh, before I forget. It's a monthly subscription service. (I did select bi-monthly delivery) You pick from one of the 3 razors, which includes replacement blades. You can change your plan, mailing address, or billing info anytime at the website.

The box arrived about a week after I placed the order via snail mail. Once Charles opened the box, he commented on how impressed he was with the weight and quality of the razor. (I chose the $6 razor)

My husband also appreciates that there isn't much of a scent with the Dr. Carver's Shave Butter, an additional $8. (nothing to compete with his cologne) I especially love that the shave butter is made of natural ingredients. (Golden Barley, Organic Prickly Pear Cactus, Pacific Sea Algae, Black Willow Bark, Vitamins A, C, E, and Oat Extract)

And the results after my husband's first shave? Two thumbs up for a smooth, non-irritating shave! No more running out of replacement razors. And best thing, I can use his razor too!

I Love The Smell of Buttercream Vanilla Frosting in The Morning!

If you haven't heard, Las Vegas is experiencing record breaking temperatures this summer. Matter of fact, right as I'm typing this my Weather Channel app temperature went up another degree! (It's now 110 degrees) So it shouldn't be a surprise that I haven't been baking lately.

So, I decided to head to Etsy to purchase a buttercream vanilla frosting candle. (I love supporting Etsy businesses)

This Buttercream Frosting Soy Candle was purchased at AJs Country Cottage. At $8 plus shipping it was a great deal. Oh, and I ordered it on a Friday and received it in 3 days via snail mail! Now that's fast service.

Once our son opened the package, he immediately our son light the candle, within 30 minutes he emerged from his room, commenting that he wanted one. It's a wonderful scent of buttercream vanilla without heating up my oven!

Menu Plan Monday ~ July 1, 2013

In Las Vegas, we've been experiencing record breaking temperatures! Looks like this week will be the same so I'll be limiting my time outside. How's your summer going? I hope it's not too hot!

Menopausal In The Summertime: How To Fight Hot Flashes ~ Lisa Armstrong

Perimenopause — the transition that starts in your 40s — can last as long as a decade, so new paths through this stage of life can be more than handy!

Anatomy of a hot flash

You've probably heard about the most common symptoms of this phase — hot flashes. "Although 75 percent of women experience hot flashes, their underlying physiology isn't well understood," says Rebecca Thurston, an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh researching connections between hot flashes and the risk of heart disease.

What is known is that hot flashes result from changes in estrogen levels and to the area of the brain that regulates your body's temperature. During a hot flash, your body dilates the blood vessels near the skin's surface to disperse an internal heat wave that flows up your neck to your face and head. Your heartbeat increases, and you may experience slight nausea. When the cycle of a hot flash is over, you could even shiver from a chill.
